The Ramblers wrap up the month at 6-2. Against Top 15 teams, Loyola went 1-2 against higher ranked opponents, and 3-0 against lower ranked opponents. After starting the season ranked #13, Loyola is now ranked #7 in the Coaches Poll. For JCT, that's 3-2 against the West Coast.

Loyola continues the heavy home schedule with six of eight matches at the Joey in February.

Of note, #13 USC is in town this Saturday night at 7pm and is being televised on NBC Sports Chicago Plus. The February 24th match against #5 Ohio State will also be on NBCSC+. Other home matches continue to be streamed on ESPN3. Also on February 24th is the men's basketball game against Illinois State where four former Ramblers will be inducted in the Loyola Athletics Hall of Fame including former player and coach, Shane Davis. This will be a nice doubleheader day for Loyola. On a side note, these are the first four athletes to be inducted in this century. Playing catch-up!

They've looked pretty good so far this year! I'm excited for MIVA season since I think they've got a shot this year, and it won't be an OSU runaway.

For the Hall of Fame, Shane Davis is probably the easiest choice you could make. He was a Hall of Fame player, and Hall of Fame coach. It could be a fun debate on whether you'd rather have him inducted as a player or a coach, but not both.

He's by far the best volleyball coach we've ever had, and might be the best 4 year volleyball player to play for Loyola. If you recall, Jaeschke only played for 3 years. Although, you can argue Jeff Jendryk will pass Shane this year. In my mind though, Shane was more valuable than Jendryk. That'd be another fun discussion on our top players and where they rank all time.

That is interesting. Shane probably had more of an impact as a 6 rotation player who ran the offense. It's kind of like comparing a great point guard with a great power forward. Jendryk though only plays in the front row and serves. He may be the best middle in Loyola history, as we can still make an argument for Nick Olsen and James Grunst.

Shane inducted as a coach for sure. The good career cements it. Even without the coaching career, the playing career was probably deserving of the honor. I believe he is the first men's volleyball player or coach inducted by Loyola as no player in the entire athletics program has been inducted in 20 years.
