Everything has been falling the Ramblers' way this whole season, and the NCAA tournament has been no exception. We got the #1 seed and are playing on our home court in front of an enthusiastic partisan crowd. We played Penn State instead of Lewis in the semis, which I believe was fortunate since we had already played Lewis 3 times, and beating any team 4 times in a row is difficult (Witness BYU, which beat Stanford 3 times this year before losing to the Cardinal in the semis.) And we managed to beat Penn State even after playing what I've been told was one of the poorest games this season. So, we've gotten our bad game out of our system, and should be ready to go against Stanford, a team we haven't played this year. I am not overly confident, because Stanford looked awfully good, but if our luck continues to hold, I like our chances. |

The worst I saw the Ramblers play was in the first two sets against Ball State when Jaeschke was injured. The comeback from an 0-2 deficit was really gutsy without the MIVA Player of the Year. Last night, we played great in the first set, but Penn State made some adjustments to take advantage of our over-aggressiveness. That's what 15 straight years of being in the tournament will do for you. So we're up against a senior-laden team that came on strong at the end of the year. If Stanford beat BYU in the MPSF final, I think they would have been given the #2 seed. They've won 15 out of their last 16 matches, and they're not intimidated by road games (like BYU might be). I've always thought this was the tougher matchup for us, and we're going to have to really cut down on errors to match their experience. |

Thank you. I'm not sure if I have any of those providers though. If only loyola gave us the account information for the xfinity account we have for cable. |

What A Feeling!! The last time I had this feeling was fifty one years ago sitting on the living room couch with my father in our two flat on the west side watching the tape delay. Tonight my golden retriever and I were in our family room 175 miles away, but it felt just as good!! What a fantastic victory! |
