Listened to Watson interview. He politely made it clear that he got no help from Calhoun after his hire. So if he wants to submit fraudulent travel vouchers I guess he's going to have to learn how to do it on his own.

Said architects are working on plans for basketball/volleyball practice facility with target completion in +/- two years. I'm guessing this means they are going ahead with plan to convert Centennial Forum (temporarilly) into practice courts.
Longer range plans are for practice facility for track, soccer, golf. Didn't say where located or target date. Prior talk is that we would like to acquire land on Broadway near Rosemont.

ahunte, did you mean to say that athletics still reports to HR, and not Administrative Services/Kelly?

Guilty as charged.

But In my defense, I worked my ass off on the Custer thread to set up the punchline.

Yeah. I read a notice from the president saying that she's elevating HR so that it reports directly to her. I think previously it went AD -> HR -> Kelly -> Prez

Now it's AD -> HR -> Prez

Still weird, but a little better in terms of athletics having access.

One of us can't read an organization chart.

It still looks to me that Kelly's Administrative Services Empire includes the Athletic Department, along with LUMA , Preschool, Campus Safety and Trustee Relations and some others. For the first four memtioned there is no intermediate bureaucrat before Kelly.

Human Resources has separate functions that don't seem to include Athletics.

I'm just looking at the boxes and following the lines...
