JCT ... do you think Custer will leave after two seasons?

There's been some discussion of that around here. First, he's listed as a junior. Second, he's most likely on pace to graduate since he sat out last year. Third, it seems unlikely to me that he'd stay for a red shirt senior year after Richardson leaves. Would it be nice if he stayed for a senior year? Absolutely. But it seems unlikely to me, unless there was something significant to do in a final year.

Next year is going to be interesting with Donte Ingram, Aundre Jackson, Ben Richardson, Clayton Custer (maybe/probably), Tyson Smith, Maurice Kirby and Vlatko Granic all seniors.

With all those players graduating, the 2018 recruiting class will be very important for the direction of the program. Hopefully we continue winning to make us more attractive for potential recruits.

I've been saying for a while this class will be interesting; mainly because i love following the recruiting cycle. Offers for the 2018 class will certainly begin to trickle out soon especially now that we're potentially (?) done with 2017...though Sasha Stefanovic recently noted us as in his current final 4 schools so i still say Kirbys going to choose to graduate this year.

While it seems like a lot to lose the class will be very similar in size to what we just brought in... if they keep the current direction up i don't think we'll have to worry too much. Even if all those players graduate we could still have a very impressive core 6 by 2018. Obviously it's dependent on health and next years class of freshmen living up to potential...but I'm fairly confident these players are the real deal based on what I've seen and read.

G Marques Townes Senior- I dont know who all made the open practice but this kid is extremely impressive. He's gonna be instrumental in replacing Milt next year.
G Bruno Skokna Junior
G Cam Satterwhite Junior
F Matt Chastain Junior
F Christian Negron Sophomore
C Cam Krutwig Sophomore

Speaking of the 2018 recruiting class, one of our offers is to Kendle Moore, a 5'10" point guard from Danville, Il. who also has an offer from Illinois State. The junior is averaging 19 ppg. and recently went off for 36.
I did a little internet sleuthing and it appears Moore may be related to former Rambler Dajuan Gouard and current Rambler Donte Ingram, both of whom were originally from Danville.

And speaking of recruiting connections, I also recently learned that Bruno Skokna was first brought to Porter's attention by a Loyola business professor with Croatian ties.

Sounds like it's this guy, but I'm only guessing:

If it was him, he should definitely put it on his CV.

Recruiting is all about making and utilizing connections.
