Just a quick update on something going on for the students:
A new fan group is getting started, and was partially responsible for the move of the student section. It’s called The Pack, and started with almost “focus groups” that the athletic department started last spring by inviting 15 or so loyal students who had gone to the most games (basically every home game). The goal is to start and create a better environment and get students more involved.

The big difference I think about this fan group is the administration involvement, where an assistant from the athletic department is actually in charge of the group, and we are directly communicating back and forth with the administration. Porter is even in some emails giving his opinion and thanking.

Obviously biased as a member, and I know there is a long way to go but I think this will really help create a good game day environment and traditions, lots of freshman are signing up, there are new t shirts being designed and research of other school’s fan sections to get ideas.
