An acquaintance of mine asked if I thought LUC would jump conferences !!
I said NO WAY !! The Valley is good but of course could be better--How ? he asked !!--I thought we should expand NOW--Add Belmont Detroit Wright St and Cleveland St--!4 teams ==Perhaps add Ill Chgo Middle Tenn to make sixteen later--If we do this we could split Valley into two divs of seven or eight teams .

I have deep respect for Valley Teams--except two--but I can live with both--

Now then the Horizon is on life support and Detroit deserves better

There are a couple of A-ten teams which might be of consideration

Bringing up Detroit makes me sad...

I had a lot of respect for Detroit when we were in the Horizon. I like their school, Jesuit identity, campus, fans, alums, etc.... I also think it's interesting to look at them compared to us and where the programs are in the past 5 years. Both schools are in big cities with pro teams, in close proximity to big time Power 5 schools (MSU, Michigan), fighting for pub despite a rich history and tradition of each program. To look at where we are at now after leaving them and the Horizon is crazy! We are building a culture, getting publicity, putting together 20+ win seasons, recruiting high caliber players, etc... Meanwhile, they are just stuck there in the Horizon, and they have to be looking at us and thinking, "Why not us?"

I'd love to have Detroit in the Valley.
