This kinda made me sad thinking about what we're missing this year.

On the other hand I don't think we had another run in us if we made the Dance. In a perverse sort of way maybe our playing in the NIT was the best possible outcome for this team. I think we played a little tight all year and there will be less pressure in the NIT and no opportunity for direct comparisons between last year's post-season and this year's.
Plus if we make it to Madison Square Garden it will be a sort of homecoming for Marques Townes.

Interesting NIT question....do we go all out and play the seniors a ton....try and win this thing....or do we start developing kids with more playing time......or even work on weaknesses from this year...like getting Ugauk to work on his outside game....etc.

As much as I love development, it'd be a disservice to two guys who will go down as Rambler legends to not let them go all out and get a chance to play in the Garden.

No question. Go all out and let Townes, Custer and Krutwig go to work. If anything, play Kaifus more and work some plays to get him open. They have yet another chance to bring hardware and a banner back to Gentile.

Nate the Skate always posts the most interesting and inciteful comments. That said, I think the answer to this is known before the question. Go all out!
This is a no prisoners type of situation. Just win baby!

That seems to hit the nail on the head....

I’m just glad I made the investment to be there for every moment of last year, because who knows what may or may not happen in the future. This year proved that.
