https://loyolaramblers.com/news/2019/5/7/general-loyola-announces-multimedia-rights-deal-with-learfield-img-college.aspx

Loyola announced a new multi-media rights deal Learfield IMG College today. The two companies (Learfield and IMG College) merged in December 2018.

Prior to the merger Learfield was already partners with the Missouri Valley Conference, Northern Iowa, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Evansville, Bradley, and Missouri State while IMG College partnered with Drake. From what I can find Valaprisio and Indiana State will be the sole members of the Valley not partnered with the combined entity.

Both partner with a variety of high and mid-major schools through out the country. See lists here https://www.learfield.com/what-we-do/partners/ and here http://imgcollege.com/our-properties/colleges-universities

Will be interesting to see what kind of effect (hopefully positive) it will have on the athletic department going forward.

I went to https://loyolaramblers.com/news/2019/5/ ... llege.aspx

It was pretty much like trying to read a foreign language.

What are they going to do? Are concessions and tickets now out-sourced?

I had the same reaction. I guess their job is to bring in sponsors? That's about all I took away from the story.

Loyola has always had a difficult time attracting corporate sponsors.
In part this is because of the lack of a radio game presence.
When you have less than 2000 butts in the seats, the print advertising has a very limited market.
The Final Four changed that somewhat in that attendance and interest in the program skyrocketed.
Still you have to have something to offer for the $25000 minimum required.
Not surprised they made this move as have many schools.

I dont think the Blers and Cubs compete for radio air play that much during each teams respective season.

I would hope that the attendance spike would help stations see the value in us compared to our in-season peers the Wolves, Depewl and UIC.
