I would like to always have a coach who is sought after by bigger programs. That is a good sign for us.

Shannon Ryan has covered Loyola well over the years. She is one of the "good guys" in Chicago media. Can't blame her too much for writing this--the entirety of national media is talking about coaching vacancies. Part of the game.

She missed the point....LU is the better program at this point....Depaul is a step down......She is living in the past......

Texas Tech and Baylor are both better programs right now than Indiana...but IU is still (reportedly) going to go after Drew and Beard. Money and conference affiliation make a difference.

(Just playing devil's advocate...I obviously think Loyola is a better job, better program, better everything than the craphole in Lincoln Park.)

Our team at this point needs NO distraction --NONE This reporter HAD to write a story because , to use a hackneyed excuse "the readers have a right to know" She could have waited.
My hope is that PM has handled this trash story with our team
I truly believe PM will NOT desert our TEAM now that it is really on its way

I hear ya - but I think & hope that the team are "locked in" to Friday's game. Sure - the rumor mill will circle and spin, but I trust Porter when he says this is not the time for that. He may acknowledge it with them, but I feel they trust him too and won't let this noise get in the way of focusing on taking care of business in the coming days.
