Negron was buried on the depth chart and seemed robbed of his athleticism by injuries. I get being surprised but transferring down a division to play makes mutual sense. I don't think there are any players any a similar role right now, save Damezi who looks right now to be the biggest question mark in terms of role on the team. To me it appears equally likely that he is scoring 15 ppg next year or he never sees the floor is a meaningful way. Both seem equally likely to me at this point.

Mostly irrelevant but just for debate purposes, but you could argue Big Frank transferring was at least lateral (AAC) and he would have definitely gotten minutes this year.

But also can see his perspective if it was purely about basketball, he had injuries the S16 year that gave Hutty the opportunity to play. Reasonable to think he would have been behind Hutty and Knight going into the season, although as it played out I think he actually would have been a great backup behind Knight.

first...thanks to all the posters for the tidbits on who are looking at...great info......I agree this Brown guy is a much better offensive player...can really put the ball on the floor, shoot the 3 in transition. It brings to mind if we are going to go through a transition from a defensive minded team to an offensive minded team...With some of the recent emphasis on hand gaurding, chest bumping, etc...more teams are gaurding the 3 well, and as a consequence more guards are getting to the rim. if you are defensive minded team you are going to need a rim protector...which this Brown guy was not...But we have more than one spot available...My take is we get 3 transfers..A guy like Brown would be really fit into the offense and we still take a rim protector and maybe another wing...??????

Noah Carter and Antonio Reeves would be nice additions here. They may both seek to go to P5 teams, like JFL did to DePaul, and Yesufu to Kansas.
