Rumor this afternoon, Senderoff is getting looks from Fordham for their opening…..

They ran a graphic during game regarding coaches with at least 10 years head coaching to never have a losing season. Three guys on the list. Izzy, Few and Senderoff. Pretty impressive. Izzy-30m years, Few-26 or 28 years, Senderoff 10 years.

Fun game tonight. If it wasn’t a sell out, but it was awful close. The student section was jammed packed and they were into the game. Listening to game while watching replay and it was LOUD in that building and it came across on the broadcast. This may have been the loudest game of the NIT and was a great advertisement for the NIT and college hoops.

We played a good game at times tonight. We only had 7 Turnovers. We have really improved down the stretch in this department. 20 assists on 27 buckets. The only drawback is we had two stretches, one in both halves, where our offense became stagnant. Both times we stopped trying to get into the paint and settled on 3’s. In the second half we got a big lead by moving, passing and getting into the lane and then we stopped and settled for 3’s and they worked their way back into the game. Our 3 point shooting was only 29% and FT shooting was 56 %. We have not handled prosperity very well this year.

We won the game because we did a teriffic job on Sullinger holding him to 12 after he torched Stanford for 34 points. Defense was good tonight.

With all of the above said and with Kmany injured, it was a real good performance. Three down, Two to go. This team is playing good, gritty ball right now. Who would have thought that LU would be the last A10 team playing this year!

His shots were getting incrementally worse until one was so far off that it banked in!

Unfortunately had to sit out and watch from home on the TV. Imagine if every single home game was as packed and wild like that as we saw on TV. Epic.

If we had to nitpick on anything, it was after the second half scoring run ended...... and yet again they found themselves in a scoring drought. Didn't like how our guards were settling for difficult threes and poor off balance shots. Then Miles re-entered and they went back inside to him to close out the game. Attack and finish. So simple.

Afterwards I watched the Irvine game. They've got some height and are really good. UAB fought them well.

Great minutes from Danny. 10 minutes but you can just see he can play defense and does the other things that have awarded him minutes.

Sullinger had a really difficult night. If Kent makes 4 or 5 of their missed shots, last night could have been a different outcome.

Richmond fan here. That was an exciting game. Once you focused on the inside game in the 2nd half, LUC took control. There were some scoring droughts. The guys looked tired, but when they caught their wind, they recovered. The NIT is difficult and grueling, because of the early schedule, but the good guys overcame.

Now you are on to Chattanooga. It was a shock that they beat Dayton.

Here is Coach Valentine's post-game interview. According to him, the energy from the crowd and the students was electric.

Looks like we will be facing a couple of fast sniper guards from the Chattanooga team. Where have we seen this before??? These 2 go by the names of Huff and Bonham. Posted 26 and 25 points, respectively, against Dayton the other night.

Ha, ha. Richmond likes small guards who can steal the ball. LUC is the class of the conference.
