Delayed post but a nice road win. Coach seems to be adjusting to teams slashing in the lane constantly and we beat the zone well. Our ball movement was back where it needs to be and nothing more than a career night for Doyle. Gotta love Custer's stat line as well, he was held scoreless but came away with 2 steals and 8 assists; hope he's okay though, he looked like he banged up his wrist on a late charge (though he came back in the game late).

Lost in Doyle's recent success and Ingram's scoring outbursts has been Ben's impact on the floor. It's only been four games but Richardson quietly averaging 14 pts and 5 assists in conference play (and that's with a tough showing at ISU where he only scored 3). With 200 less minutes he's already surpassed his previous season high's in points, assists, and blocks. He's also just under his career high's in rebounds and steals.

I've always liked Ben's style of play. He contributes more than just what comes up on the stat sheet. He shut down Jeremy Morgan the other night, interrupts passes that lead to turnovers, but not necessarily steals, and always seems to make at least one hustle play a game. You can also see him taking on a leadership role, especially when Milton is off the floor.

From my view at the game it looked like Custer just landed on his funny bone and it just stung. I believe he will be ok as he entered a few minutes later.

I'm with you. The on court leadership has been huge this year. You get the sense that it comes naturally to Ben and Clay, but it's clearly rubbed off on Milton this year as well as he's been much more vocal. It's definitely the kind of culture you want to have built in your locker room and that you hope can trickle down among players after they graduate.

Also appreciate the report from the game alap!
