Eight games in we will be in 4th place as our overall record is better than the other 4-4 teams . Now it shall be up to us to stay there or improve--

Bradley is next up--We should be favored --

I really do think we are arriving as a power in the Valley--
I believe we are capable of pulling off an upset along the way--We have come close--Maybe it actually will be our turn.
Milt and the boys should go off big soon--altogether !! PM is bringing them along nicely

BRot sounds like you have us positioned for a stretch run! However I do not think it is going to be easy....After the top two teams in the COnference I do not think there is a nag in the bunch(Indiana State maybe). I am just hoping we can maintain our energy and effort through the rest of the season.
Evansville 1-7 but I thought they were a decent team..just fairly young...Lot of good young players in the COnference...good years ahead.

Looking at the rest of conference schedule, I would agree 3 or 4 is possible, and an upset game in the Arch seems closer to a reality than a dream.
BUT, reality is that we need a lot to go right. That means holding serve at home, and playing above the officiating on the road.
Close games may not go our way, base on earlier games this season. Finishing the first half , again against Evansville, was still more lucky than good. As you saw, they had three tips at the buzzer, none of which went in, along with a number of other close in's that rattled out in the course of the game.
On the upside:
I saw good aggressive play from Skokna, and that's a plus to know that is an option. Tyson is playing very aggressively. I saw decent minutes from Kirby, which will keep Jackson in the game to be around at the finish. Richardson defense is airtight. Donte's offense is still impressive. I see he is at the top of the key more by design, which is fine. I did see him get some big rebounds under the bucket. Custer will shoot better than recent games. He did make some tough shots closer to the basket. We have already played Isr and Wichita and Missouri St once, our conference mates will have more games against them than we.
So third or fourth is possible, but any slips and sixth or seventh could be a painful reality.
Personally, I am optimistic that our intense effort will prevail over our shortcomings.
Go Ramblers.
PS Did any one notice four or five plays where Ingram is out at the top and a missed shot/rebound is coming away from the basket to him? I saw the ball coming at him but he did not seem to be going aggressively toward the ball... this left the opposition getting a possession we could have had a second chance at points? Just a constructive observation..... Most of the time I see our guys diving after every loose ball.

NATEY !! A run ?? Maybe--remember our lack of height hurts us--But one thing for sure, we are legitimate. Playing well should solidify us in 4th with a solid chance for 3rd. If we do accomplish this, we might just pull an upset in St Louis !! BUT we must keep getting better and NOT receive the ref treatment we got in Cedar Falls.
I do like our chances now !!

Guy, I noted the same plays with Donte. Given our team is generally taught to get back on Defense I attribute it more to the game plan and him ready to run back on defense and getting stuck in between that and the long rebound. You could kinda tell he was thinking about going for it a few times, but I assume it's not What theyre taught, and the way Evansville was also chasing at it you don't wanna risk a foul. Just my guess!

Loved Clayton diving for that jump ball early though.
