OK, so this is what I see so far..... 11/9 ...... Coppin State 11/24-26 Battle 4 Atlantis (Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, UConn, Mich. St., Syracuse, VCU) 12/1 ..... MVC Opener at home TBA ....... UIC TBA ....... Chicago State TBA ....... Furman TBA ....... at DePaul TBA ....... at Davidson Can't quarrel with the road opponents. Furman has been a just inside/just outside Top 100 team the past five years. UIC might be better this year under 2nd year HC Luke Yaklich than their 9-13 Covid-wrecked 2020-21 campaign. Chicago State doesn't even have a conference right now..... they were kicked out or dropped out of the much-improved WAC. Can't we get a better flagship home game than Furman? I mean, we just went to the Sweet 16, beat the ACC and Big Ten conference champions, and did so a few years after a Final Four. Furman is the best home game we can get after that? I would offer UW-Milwaukee $20k to come and play at Gentile. It's a bus trip for them. Not only do they have one of the best NBA prospects (who grew up playing at Alumni Gym and Gentile Center), they also have the son of another NBA star, Vin Baker Jr. They're likely to finish well in the Horizon, giving them at least a 110ish KenPom rating and a pretty good NET. |

Well streak also said we may play Norfolk State. But I totally agree with you. I get that P6 schools may not want to play us, but why can't we get other comparable mid majors? It's rather disappointing that we'll be playing some of these crappy teams like Chicago State. But whatever, I'll still be watching and enjoying. I don't know how much I believe that conference play will start in December. I'm inclined to think that someone said that as a mistake, as it tends to starts at the very end of December. I don't see any benefits to starting it a month earlier, and I doubt we'd have our first home conference game only a couple days after our big MTE |

Some of the P5 conferences have played their first few conferences games early in December the last few years, including the Big10. It’s allowed them to expand to 20 conference games, and open up some weeks/weekends later in the year. So it wouldn’t shock me if the MVC starts doing something similar. |

Thanks for pointing out the Norfolk State omission. Doesn't make the home slate any better. Would like to see a solid MAC team in there, at least. 11/9 ...... They stopped the early December conference openers when Butler left and dropped the membership to 9. |

I only count 10 (?) non-conference games there. Even assuming that we play a non-D1 school as well, I would think it’s not yet complete |
