Loyola won the MVC title in 2021-22 & finished with a 13-5 MVC record. Loyola began last season (2022-23) after losing 5 of their top 6 minute men (Williamson, R. Schwieger, Uguak, Knight, & Hall) in 2021-22. We finished last (4-14) in the Atlantic 10 in 2022-2023. Next season (2023-2024) we are returning the 5 players with the most starts (Norris, Alston, B. Schwieger, Welch, & Quinn). We are also adding 3 starters from Division 1 teams (Adelek, Dolan, & Watson). The frequently injured Kennedy is gone as is the big center (Hutson), who the coach didn’t use in his run & gun plans, & who is to be replaced by a quick first team HS Illinois All Star, 6'10" center (Rubin). I look for LU to be much improved. |
