Hello once again Racing Fans !! Welcome once again to the running of the First Annual MISSOURI VALLEY Classic !! We pick it up as the horses are rolling past the far curve heading down the track , driving hard towards the Homestretch !! As the leaders approach the turn for home Trackman wants to take a few seconds to thank those wonderful Fans for their best wishes during my absence due to the Akron Plague--I returned only to find the tote Board destroyed in a freak accident !! Both Trackman and the Odds Board are back and fit to roll--To give you the last reported post time odds and comment , here they are plus Trackman's comment
Panthers------3 to2 --Actually thinks he can whip the odds on favorite--
Shockers------1 to1--The chalk --looking worried and trailing by 1/2 length but comfortably ahead of
Sycamores----9 to1--3 1/2 lengths back--big surprise here-railbirds figured -not ready to challenge
Purple Aces----7 to1--a length back for show--Fading??
Red Birds----- 9 to 1-- Hanging around -running to form
Ramblers-----10 to 1--Courageous little stallion--tossed a shoe early but still only two lengths back of 4th place Aces --very dark horse for upcoming Arch Run
Bulldogs------20-to 1-- Like his name--fighting hard here-may finish better than this
Salukis--------30 to 1-- Maybe next time--Forget for now--too far back
Bears----------40-to 1-- Regular jockey quit--ruined everything but could beat--
Braves --------60 to 1--not with these--out classed this time--Forget it.

Now then Fans --back to the race--Almost to the home stretch of this grueling 1 and one half mile marathon--Trackman sees a two horse race --Panthers giving Wheatshockers all it can handle and has him by a half length on the rail--Looks like Shocks have gone to the whip early--Panthers just gliding --rating nicely--Trackman sees trouble for the odds on favorite--But folks a champion is just that- a Champion !! We will see as they get ready to turn for home !!
The big surprises so far --Sycamores and Ramblers--Trees did not figure at all and look to steal show spot--while the little Ramblers are even at this late date , hurting as they are - starting to worry the top five-- Could be trouble in the coming up ARCH RUN Invitational

Stay tuned Fans for the call at the sixteenth Pole and the dash to the Finish Line !!!

Bye Bye !!
