10/21 from 3. Game on, rest of the Valley...and beyond.

My one concern about getting into the NCAA was laying an egg today. That didn’t happen, and we made a statement really. Let’s roll.

Am I the only one worried about today’s game?

Reasons to worry:
1.We have not shot well the last 3 and 1/2 games.

2. Mullins knows our team well- as he showed last weekend.

3.SIU played really well last night,even without their star player.

4.Awfully tough to beat a team 3 times in a row during a season- Valpo last year over us.

5.SIU has a game under their belt playing on this court.

6.Defensively,we haven’t defended well against the 3 ball over the last several games.

I am sitting on my roof top,ready to jump.Please convince me,otherwise.

Calm it down. As noted, it really isn't difficult to beat a team three times in a row. However, this isn't three times in a row for SIU.

SIU is playing the second of a back to back game short handed. Ramblers had a 9 point halftime lead that they extended to 16 in a similar situation. They let SIU back in but it was to be expected as Loyola was playing in a back to back. They will be fresh today. SIU will not. I expect it will be single digit lead at half and the Ramblers will run them out of the stadium in the second half. 20+ point win today.

Is it a matchup issue with Welch?

Was wondering about that. Zero minutes is weird, though. Will be interesting to see his minutes vs Indiana State tomorrow (assuming).

I think Evansville takes this next game to play the Ramblers tomorrow.

I thought the starters minutes were a bit heavy for a 24 point victory with a hopeful three games in three days to be played. I don't think the minutes were all that taxing but I would have like to see everyone under 25.

Gotta love Arch Mandess (sometimes)

As painful as the last couple Arch Madness experiences have been, the unexpected great performances from Kaifes (two years ago) and Welch (last year, in limited minutes), give me hope for the offense. Someone usually steps up, it’s just a question of who and when.

Norris was 1 assist away from a double-double. Also, had 5 rebounds, which was 1 short of leading the team.

Glad we could get an easier win, and didn't have to sweat it out much! Onto the next game!

FWIW, Welch was very active on the bench cheering everyone on.
