Hated our barrage of missed threes in the first. It was a gamechanger to pound the paint immediately in the second half. Seemed like each time we went down 8-10 (happened once in first and again at half), feeds down low to Miles and Dame (and Phil) brought them back to life. Gee wiz that was easy......

When Miles gets the ball down low, whether open or to make something happen, I feel like there aren't many defenders who can stop him. Hope our staff continues taking advantage of this. He's definitely getting post move wisdom from Dame, and you can see it.

We are blessed to have a teammate and LUC community member like Sheldon.

Des Watson is the EDGE and leader and ringleader and now a fan favorite who we sorely lacked last year.

Dez's quote is the best since Donte's "We ain't going" in 2018!

Dayton at VCU is a pretty big game tonight. There really isn't a losing scenario for Loyola in that one. Either tied with Dayton in the loss column or up 2 on VCU for third place.

I'd love for Dayton to keep winning....if we continue on our path, the March 1st game at home against Dayton will be the best game since Nevada or one of the home Drake games where the gym was packed and going nuts! Plus getting a crack at a top 15 team only helps our cause.

I'll prefer that Dayton beat VCU. It keeps us chasing someone at the top. They stay ranked which is good for our conference and better for us when we beat them at the Joe.

PS.. GM message board pretty much had us as a team that is physical, fouls, not much talent, but wanted the game more than GM. Interesting.

I was reading their board as well and left with the same takeaway. A bit delusional of them, the refs gave them the most freebies I’ve ever seen in a game of basketball and they still lost.

After losing the rock fight that was the VCU/Dayton game last night, it’s interesting that Dayton’s NET ranking fell from 16 all the way to…18. VCU’s ranking rose up into the top 75, making them a quad 1 road game for now, and the 4th A10 school currently with that status. 10 schools at least a quad 2 road game (including us).

Most definitely a deeper and better A10 this year. Last nights loss really didn’t hurt Dayton’s at large chances at all.

A win against GW on the road today, especially by a decent margin, might bump us into the top 100 as well.

That’s borderline hilarious.
