What a ride it has been since John started this crazy beautiful website. It has brought generations of Alumni together from all over the country. I am fortunate to have made friends here as well. Our passion for Rambler hoops binds us together and helps us to recognize that it’s people who make Loyola a special place. I am truly happy today and looking forward to spending the day with my classmates and teammates. THANK YOU JOHN. Win or lose it’s a great day today revel in it. Of course it will be better with a win. hahahahahaha

If the wait was over at 10:56 a.m., what the hell have I been doing for the past 3 hours?

John is the great leader of a great BOARD WE have been superb for many years !! We have gone through THIN and THIN for far too long--BUT today's win was SPECIAL !! We this year FINALLY have some THICK eo go with the thin !!

I started a rudimentary web site on Loyola basketball in 1998, not long after Larry Farmer was hired, and a few weeks before Loyola had a site dedicated specifically to athletics. I added a message board by the middle of the 1998-99 season. When I got some underwriting from a startup, I started writing game stories from a fan perspective for 5 years or so, and the comments sometimes angered some people in the athletic department. There were a lot of testy moments and uncomfortable exchanges.

Sometime around April 1999, I came up with the name Ramblermania as an ironic title, because by that time we'd gone nearly FIFTEEN YEARS without a tournament appearance, and the 90s were a bleak decade for Loyola basketball.

I think this week we might have finally done the name some justice.
