Women's Basketball Off to Best Start Ever

Our women's basketball team is off to a 6-0 start! To make it more impressive, only 1 game has been at Gentile. It's the best start in program history. Last night they came back from down 12 with a little over 7 minutes left to win by 14 in overtime. They play with a lot of grit and toughness. Plus they only have 1 senior. Kate Achter is doing a great job turning the program around.

Speaking of tough losses, the women's team came from behind to send #21 Missouri St to OT. Had a chance to win in regulation and missed, and then in OT, Missouri St hit a buzzer beater to win.
The ladies had the got the ball with 45 seconds left in OT, and Coach Achter decided not to use one of her 4 remaining timeouts. Offense didn't really get a good look. Missouri St took a timeout before their last possession and drew up a play that got them the game winning look. I don't know why Coach Achter didn't take one of hers before the final possession, but I think it could've helped. Still a good showing for the women's team who can hopefully play as well as they did throughout conference play!
