Don't know what's going on, but Ramblermania set an all-time record today for most visitors online at one time with 79 at 1:43 pm.

I'm guessing the traffic was a result of our being mentioned on another message board or website, but that's just speculation.

I think ahunte should investigate and report back with his findings.

Here's another possible explanation:

Autocorrect mistake for people using voice search for the hot new adult movie Ram Her Labia

It probably has something to do with the softball team going 10-0.

On a Google search for Ramblermania just now, the topmost hit was a paid ad for Ramblermania.

Maybe that explains the record traffic a few days ago. JCT is marketing Ramblermania, trying to turn it into a cash cow.

1. I don't know for sure, but I believe the general increase in traffic is from ahunte1's efforts to improve traffic by posting game previews on the front page, increasing Twitter activity, and submitting articles for Google spidering.
2. The traffic spike the other day was not reflected on Google analytics or in ad views. The traffic that day was around 3000 page views, and an average game day is around 5000. I think it's bots.
3. Thanks to ahunte1's efforts to increase traffic, the site had a slight boost in income from December, January, and February. As a result, I started a $50 ad buy today on Google during Arch Madness just to see if it would have any results. Part of it is to see firsthand if online ads might help activate alumni or fans for season ticket sales or game attendance. But sadly, the only result I've seen so far is a slight spike in sarcasm from current users.

If you could figure out a way to monetize my sarcasm we'd both be sitting pretty.
