I feel like I invested a lot in this team this year. Also feel like I got a lot back,,,,Really enjoyed watching them play for the most part. Got a lot of pride from our academic accomplishments. Felt wanted as a fan and alum as I attended several events designed to include alums etc. I also take a large view of what compromises success and realize if I judge only by if we win the Conference or get to the NCAAs I will quickly get frustrated. However I do see myself and all fans as part of the whole picture of the team being successful as such today I am asking myself what else can I do at this point. My one option is to be mad because the team did not win and make me happy...but I would rather feel good that I genuinely enjoyed watching these guys play.
So I am going to send a note to Milton Doyle thanking him for his efforts and wishing him good luck and a hope to see you at games in the future and hope your daughter plays basketball and comes to LU. I am going to send it through AD Watson of Tom Hitcho and I am sure it will arrive. I am going to start working on getting a bus trip to ISU together for next year. Going to go see Krutwig play wearing my LU hoodie (If I get over my strep in time). Also am going to get my season tickets as soon a possible and throw in what I can, So i am already wrapping up this year and focusing on next and hoping that you all find a way to refocus and get excited about next year.
