Interesting takes...LU has 40% of Trib All State team, Lucas is excited because family and friends can attend games,
My view point.Coach just does not talk the culture thing,He really brings in players who are students and good kids.

This has to be our best recruiting class since...? Anyone have an idea of a time we have had this many talented freshmen coming in? Not to mention, Chastain and Townes.

Told myself I would try to reign in the anticipation and expectation levels after last season...but here I am, 7 months out and already bursting with enthusiasm and hope.

These last two classes have been really special. Assuming Skokna and Satterwhite improve next years team will have some great depth.

I think Williamson will play immediate dividends. Kid is a consummate winner and won't be fazed by college play.

Probably since the 80s. There was some good feeling about the 2003 class-- Blake Schilb, Majak Kou, Tyrelle Blair, and ??? somebody help me... Andre Knox?

1999 was another big class-- the first full class by Larry Farmer, which included David Bailey, Jerrell Parker, and Corey Minnifield (Prop 48).

Burmeister's big get was Javan Goodman, which was considered quite a coup in 1995 (Donyale Bush came in that same year as a juco transfer)

So... yeah... we have to go back to the 80s to find a class this good.

You might have to go back to Alfredrick Hughes, Andre Battle, and Greg Williams to find a class that could be considered better.

So this got me thinking about Coach Whitesell....He is at U of Buffalo , so I looked him up and then saw their athletic site. Some interesting things. 1. The have a coaches caravan,,the major head coaches head to different cities to meet alumni groups...do not even know if we have an alumni base large enough anywhere but Chicago. 2. They have dropped 4 sports but the most interesting to me is that they have a crowdfunding for specific sports http://www.ubbulls.com/general/2016-17/ ... 0302e1ydcx
