The 2018 NCAA Tournament bracket is announced Sunday, March 11, during the TBS Selection Sunday Show at 5 p.m. Central Time. I have to imagine that with the story of Loyola making their first appearance in 33 years and being a former national champion, they would have cameras at any NCAA Tournament announcement party Loyola would have.
You can also live stream the Selection Sunday show at
NCAA.com or via the March Madness app. The show used to be on CBS, but this is the first time since 1982 that CBS will not have the Selection Sunday show.
The 2018 NCAA Tournament kicks off Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14 with the "First Four" games in Dayton, Ohio. (Those are two games between 16 seeds who are the last teams into the tournament, and two games between the last at large teams selected for the tournament-- usually 11 seeds. This would not apply to Loyola, since we are an auto bid team that will be in the 12-10 range.)
The first days of the Round of 64 NCAA Tournament will be held March 15-16 with the first round. The second round of 32 will continue through the weekend of March 17-18. Here are the possible locations where our likely seeds will play:
10 seeds: Nashville, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Charlotte
11 seeds: Dallas, Wichita, Nashville
12 seeds: San Diego, Boise
13 seeds: San Diego, Boise
