I'm just gonna enjoy the victory till Wednesday, and see if we can double it up in Peoria on Wednesday.
No politicking about the admin, or the evil Mr Kelly. It was fun to see the players come thru yesterday
in a difficult environment. Let me point out that the players did not lay down after their recent defeat as some suggested may happen.
I give credit to PM for not letting that happen, and to the players for showing that they do not quit. They may throw in an occasional bonehead play, but not for lack of effort. I do the same everyday....
Go RAMBLERS, lets make the gargoyle sad on Wednesday.

Guy-buy !! Is that what they are now called ?? Well, being that I am NOT politically correct, except for Chief WAHOO. they will be BRAVES as far as I am concerned.

Bradley Braves--a term of honor--same as Blackhawks, and Fighting Sioux. I truly believe that .

In any case, I feel we shall win Wednesday--Maybe even big.

I don't care how fabulous we look making athletic plays--- I WANT TO WIN. And I think we have to be SMART, DELIBERATE, and HARD WORKING to win at our level. Pretty is ugly if you're a loser.

Channeling Ed Jucker?

I think it's simpler than SMART, DELIBERATE, HARD WORKING. It's just SMART.

HARD WORKING is always SMART. DELIBERATE is smart only sometimes. SMART is always pushing the ball up the court to try to find something before the defense is set. You can do that deliberately. We did that against SIU. We kept the pressure on, got the rhythm, and the confidence built from there. We beat a team that was obviously questioning itself after three straight losses and we didn't give them a lot of time to figure their way out of it. Meanwhile, we were shooting over 50%. A lot of that flows from confidence. Brot (I think) and I are not exactly advocating Paul Westhead/Loyola Marymount style. No championships there. "Be quick but don't hurry" - worked well for John Wooden.

My other two cents: I'm in the camp that says these players have never ever duffed it. The effort has been terrific all season. Just look at the defense.

Screamy-Beamy !! Terrific post--I bloviate all over the place--You said it briefly and right on. Westhead ?? Nope ! He seemed to have ignored a main ingredient ---DEFENSE-- We have been running with good defense lately--

We ARE on the same page. Trouble is, a team MUST be capable of this. Porter seems now to have awakened to the fact that our guys can and are doing it now that they have been given the chance.

Great post Scream. I am not necessarily dying to see a run-and-gun offense like Havoc (although if we found another Shaka Smart who could be as successful, I certainly wouldn't advocate against hiring him). But you don't need to be Havoc to play fast (aggressive d, pushing the tempo when you see an opening, fast motion offense, good ball movement, etc.). Van Vleet and co. are the definition of that.
