Hopefully, we'll learn from this game. I would have thought we'd know from our earlier meeting with Toledo that we had to play solid defense throughout and control the tempo, but the lesson didn't take. We were behind and lackluster early against San Diego, too. Taking care of the ball has got to be a bigger priority. And we need some plays to get some high percentage shots inside.

Speaking of which, I wonder if we're going to see any contribution from Kirby this year, as we all hoped and thought. He didn't even get into the game at all. Rajala had 11 (scoreless) minutes with three rebounds, a steal, and a block. Donte Ingram took six shots, but five of them were three pointers. I know Boothe and Navigato are a pretty good inside defensive combo, but Rajala, Ingram and Montel James scored only five two pointers between them. And our success attacking the basket quickly in the late going might be something we look for more often earlier in games.

I'm not sure what it is with the slow starts. Turnovers and poor two point shooting are really hurting us. I couldn't watch last night, but it seemed like Toledo played really well in the second half. Tough game, but one I really wanted us to win. With Creighton playing well the non-con schedule is looking more daunting now.

We have to take care of the ball, find easier baskets, and get to the free throw line.

Start with winning today and then hope the home crowd pulls us through against Creighton.

Hopefully the team learned a valuable lesson last night about how important free throws are. Toledo could not miss, and it was the difference maker in this game.

With each passing game, I am becoming less convinced by Streak's bland assurance that Kirby and Adgei "will be fine." Especially this season.

Swella, yeah have little faith. My assurances were not bland, they were BOLD. THEY WILL BE FINE.
If you could have seen the faces when they all got off the bus, you would realize the PM will find a way to make it work.
Yes, we lost Christian last year and that was a toughness and leadership that is hard to replace. But Kirby and Adegei will get their minutes soon. Hey, you are right more often than me but what the heck.

Well, six games in and we have discovered that we have a ways to go. I guess you can learn something by watching, but minutes are more important I feel. Our BIGS must come through . They are not so far. I do thing these pre-season games are important PRACTICE games leading up to Conf play. Tonight's game just might be a nice spot to use both of the new BIGS !!

Our defense left town last night for sure--Hence we lost.

Good effort and exciting game, but I'm still dissapointed with the result. Toledo is a decent team; however, if we want to make a splash in the ncaa tournament, we should be able to handle teams like Toledo with ease. We need to beat Creighton if we want to even be skimmed over for the NIT.

First things first 12--We must win BIG and I mean BIG tonight. This will be a must win just to retain any respectability--Montel Must come on this night. I feel our guards will hit a bunch. It will be up to the BIGS and MONTEL.. Milt and Devon will do their part I am sure.

Must game guys !!
