Here are a few additional things about Ingram this year.
1. He
leads the MVC in Defensive Win Shares, which indicates to me that this year he's accepted the role of doing most of his work on defense. With Krutwig on the court this year, Ingram is no longer the primary rebounder by himself, and he can drive or shoot outside jumpers without having to post up and bang inside. He's already set new season highs (with more games to play) in assists, blocks, steals, and made threes.
2. He's up to
5th all time in made three-pointers at Loyola at 157, with a chance to reach 3rd if the Ramblers get some wins at Arch Madness.
3. He'll finish in the Top 20 all time in rebounds and top 30 all time in points at Loyola.
4. Donte also leads Loyola in percentage of team minutes played, 77.4% of all the minutes the team has played this year (no one else is in the 70s). That indicates how important he is to the team.
And as you said, he's added something to his game each year. He's among my all time favorites.
