Just another stroke to our ever growing portrait. Rajala did what he was coached to do--AND he looked confident out there.

Next thing --Shortly we will be beating up on some teams--not just winning --but taking control and building plus holding leads. We are getting there.

Let's see, the team we replaced is really doing well--Dead last as is Bradley in the MVC----Best that the Peorians shut mouths lest feet get inserted. Sheesh, they act the same as Green Bushers !!!

Big win. Huge win. Even though Bradley is down this year, this was huge. It's exactly the type of game we would have lost in the past. We did it without our best player and we did it with four - not 3 - freshmen getting time. Very satisfying. Now let's get another one this week.

The Ramblers will finish no worse than 16-14 this season now. Wow. A winning season! It's awesome to see the progress-- but I feel bad for whoever has to work on our schedule next year. With what we have coming back I would assume there are not going to be too many takers unless we go on the road a lot next year.

Well. fellow Ohioan !! When we were losing and dull, the argument went that none would schedule us--Now that we are winning or starting to, still no one will schedule us or we must go on road a lot--I feel we cannot have it both ways. The say we are already going to Anchorage for the Great Alaskan Shootout --That makes three (4?) "name" games. I am sure the new AD will get us some Eastern teams to come to Chgo as well--

I really think we are on the way up win wise as well as schedule wise. You might even see teams like St Bonny, Marist, Boston College ?, Seton Hall ?, and our new association out west..
The future finally looks brighter--much brighter. Better teams, better crowds, better recruits. Only problem I see is the Chgo Media which we have discussed ad nauseum. is pro, Big 14, Notre Dame, and DePewl---Of which I think only ND. Ohio St, Mich St and one or two others have earned this blatant favoritism.

We have the 18 Valley games plus DePaul at their site and Creighton at the Norville. We are signed up for Great Alaska playing on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I think that tournament counts as one game. UTSA also comes into Norville. Plus the Great West or whatever they are either home or road; So that would leave five games to reach 28. I know the new AD wants to raise revenue so my guess is at least one guarantee game away so that would take it to 24. And with the AD contacts my guess is you can count on a game or two with mid major teams.

I heard we may play the Penn Quakers in Rome next November so that Grace can visit her villa on the Via del Corso. (Say what you will about her, but she was a master at getting her travel vouchers approved by Loyola.)

Swella:
The Penn game in Rome has not been finalized as yet. It seems the sticking point is how many walk ons will be allowed to accompany each team.
I expect the story to break soon though as this issue is being mediated by the Pope's chief negotiator Father G and his designee Mr. K.
