I am in the dark about LU86 statement that LU "DOESNT GIVE A CRAP" about their athletes, and would appreciate some enlightenment here.
As an interested fan and dedicated supporter, it sounds LU86 knows a lot more than I do about the program.....

86 has been privy to a great deal of information. Not only as an athlete but as a broadcaster. Given everything I know about him (both related to LU and outside the university), when he says something, you can pretty much be certain that it's spot on. Sure there may be some perspective bias but even given that, he's spot on.

I won't be at the game on Weds but I will be at the last home game. Come bye and introduce yourself. I'm usually at Bruno's before the game and I either sit with Streak or I'm up in the GA end zone.

Guy - an example might be that in a cost saving effort, the prior administration fired the entire athletic training staff and outsourced the work to a third party firm. While I'm sure Novacare trainers go a good job, it can't compare to the dedication and time that the training staff used to spend with athletes. As someone who had more than his fair share of injuries, I'll tell you that Hitch helped keep me on the court as much as possible - including things like treatment sessions at 8 AM on Sundays, his 'day off'. I put day off in quotes because in 4 years I'm pretty sure he never took one.

I am in the dark.... Who is Streak and what is GA end zone? ( I do know Bruno's)
I appreciate the example about the trainer situation. That was the prior admin, right.
Better now, or not? If not, why not? I'm just a fan, but addicted to wanting success for these players.
Bottom line is, as with you guys, I want to see the program become successful and
regain some of the prominence that is imbued in the history. Not sure why that is the case,
but it IS the case. Why else would I listen to a game on streaming radio, or watch games on the computer that are not available on broadcast tv.Or why do I spend inordinate amounts of time watching the competition's games, just to see whats coming down the road?
Thats the only reason I inquire for your thoughts.
One question I would ask of you guys : Is it normal to not produce information about player injury and status...or is it just a lack of personnel?
