Pretty pathetic crowd. There were more students in the student union than at the game. Despite the score, we are playing decent defense. The offense on the other hand....

Approaching two minutes left in the game, and only two free throw attempts. Previous low this year was six attempts.

Well that has to be one of our worst performances on the season, at least offensively. Season low in points, only the second game with no players in double figures, really looked totally out of sorts on offense. We had to play great defense against these guys to stay in the game, and 58 points allowed surely qualifies, but playing so hard on defense seemed to take a lot out of the energy and confidence on the offensive side. You have to pick your poison against UNI, and whichever one you chose they have the ability to exploit.

Whoa-- Missouri State knocks off Indiana State. Evansville and ISUb now tied at 9-6 for 3rd place. If we can pull out 6th place, I think I like a matchup with Evansville in St. Louis better than Indiana State.

Well, we had a bad game. Oh well. This was not a game that we needed to win. There still is time for us to rack up a couple more wins before the season is over. Hopefully the guys are not down over this.

The fact that we had the number 11 team in the country in our building, and we could not get enough people to fill the place is pathetic though. I'm not a huge fan of complaining about attendance, but maybe some of you were right that the Powers that be are not doing enough to remedy the situation.

This game should've been a big deal across campus on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe next year things will be better.

Well. they are better than us without Milton. This absence means we have little offensive punch. This must stop. Another thing, without Milt we cannot and have not defended the three-- They hit a ton of them.

Now then , bring Milton back--stale or not and let's run !!

I am so sick of being the under-dog. We need to go for it NOW. Sweep these last games--We are capable-- No excuses--Just do it !!

They are revving back up the "Loyola shouldn't be in the MVC" train on the MVCFans board.

I was actually impressed by our defense. UNI had reasonably few easy points, several clock violations and had to generally work hard for their points. There was no way we were going to beat these guys, but just for the heck of it, I would have liked to see PM throw James and Rajala in at the same time. Not only might this have given us some presence inside and better rebounding, but it actually might have opened our guards up a little more. James needed to score more for us to have a chance and he needed some assistance that may have come if Rajala was also in there. As I said, it wouldn't have made a big difference but maybe we score 45 :-)

Also...Ben Richardson plays like a freshman. He makes stupid passes sometimes, becomes unhinged, occassionally plays out of control and I really love this guy. Plays HARD all the time, developing a nice shot and blankets on D. Great effort, good bball instincts that sometime fall victim to overtrying, but a very admirable work ethic and great effort every game. He brings energy and his D is something you don't normally see from someone that young.
