Hats off to Bob Ward, Olga and the fine gentleman whose name I forgot for putting together a great bus trip down to Normal to see the ISU game.

For $20, you got a ticket to the game, snacks on the bus, drinks including hard cider, 312 or Stella beer, and door to door service and free parking in the campus garage.
How could you beat it? It is $20 alone in gas and tolls, not to mention parking at the game. A hassle free experience.

With the free fan appreciation party coming up after the Missouri State game, it appears there is a coordinated effort to reach out to alums and the fan base.

There was also an on line survey asking what could be done to improve the fan experience.

The bus was very comfortable and the driver did a great job of navigating a route to the stadium. We got there so early that the 20 or so of us had a pregame dinner at an Italian restaurant called Avanti's. We were there about an hour and still got the arena about 75 minutes before the game.

Great job by Loyola in making this a great experience.

My only regret was more people should have reached into their pockets to tip the driver who again did a great job.

Well. I hope that the trend, if this is one continues !! Except for the last li ne of your post--I guess what folks used to say about North Dakotans is apropos here --"They don't know they don't know "--Criminy , even I know a fin or sawbuck would have been nice !!!

Just to keep the record straight my better half and I did take care of the driver. It was a wonderful time and I enjoyed everyone's company.
