Backward---The pundits ( most of) all thought we were a last place team--Some of us agreed but hoped--The Non Luc Fans almost all felt we were garbage. Well we proved them and some of us wrong--sixth is surely higher than last--
--Most teams have injuries--but few lost a player of Milton's caliber , for so long a time. Our guys literally sucked it up and as small as they were, still held their heads above water--Never quit--not once. eg--Thomas prior and after his concussion consistently out played guys 4 to 5 inches taller. They played sometimes with nothing but heart never waiting for Doyle's return-- The Newbies , freshmen , and transfers played like Veterans most of the time. Solid example in miniature --the Mo St game --well our guys played a bigger team a tad more than even--and then came MILTON ! BOOM !! Ball game.
Full marks for Porter and his Coaches. They forged a good team--made it better going forward ( Tulane, Kent St.) A lot of us got on him early and a lot--Brot , for one. How wrong I was.. He has taken a good bunch and made them better. And now----
FORWARD !! Arch Madness with our 18-12 record---Ind St stands in the way--We have a score to settle--Maybe we will with Milton and his Pals --

Next season, if this one does end early in St Louis portends a fine if not a great year--Bigs coming in to add to a terrific nucleus. I look to a twenty plus win season along with at least a 4th or better League finish. The VALLEY will find that the Big City boys are going to cause havoc in a grand old League.
They will find too many guns aimed at them--Milt. Turk and all those shooters--NINE of them AT LEAST.
Maybe even the local media will wake up and take notice.
I look for a better schedule--this year's was not so awful and we did do the job against it mostly-- Next year the Great Alaska Shoot Out--Venerable-just like the Valley.
I believe we also have Creighton and DePewl--maybe a Mountain West team (New Mexico??)
I do predict a Post season Tourney bid--We shall see which one.

All in all this has been one exciting and marvelous year -win or lose against the Trees) Our little lads ( To be British for a moment) showed the Valley cynics a thing or three)
And I do wish to say THANKS to SUB GOD--a class act. A worthy representative from a worthy opponent--Kudos to a couple others whose names escape me--they know who they are.

GO RAMBLERS !! Take at least sixteen MVC games in 2016 !!

Great season ticket holder appreciation party between the end of the Mo State game and the volleyball game. Free beer and wine and pizza.
Nicely done. Hats off to Steve Watson and Carolyn O'Connell and Brian Day for their hard work. Jam packed Ireland's room. Coach Moser gave a nice speech.
Lots of buzz about a possible post season CBI or CIT tourney. Just got home 15 minutes ago.
Volleyball team swept Lindenwood in 3 sets but nearly blew the third set and were on the ropes with set point but pulled the 3rd set out 30-28. A nice wrap up to the basketball home regular season.

Does anybody think that it is possible that we might actually go forward in the conference tournament? Wow. How awesome that would be. I guess anything is possible. Go Ramblers! Yes, agreed, the season-ticket party was fun.

Remember Gal. The Trees did not play against Milton --It was easier to guard the rest of the team--Bears found that out--I do believe the Trees will be favored BUT not by much--Also , we have a deep bench now--'cept for Rajala of course who probably would not play much anyway. Just think about the fact that we can play nine--maybe ten guys--Trees could be tired late because of this--See Bears against Milt and the boys Saturday. He was like a surgeon. Just to see him waiting at the point deciding what to do--Looked like a mini Jordan or LeBron whom I saw cut up the Warriors Thursday night. Milton was simply brilliant--Bears had no clue as to what was happening.
IF we do get by ISU , look out !!

Oh and BTW, I loved the way our guys did NOT stand around watching while Milt loaded up--A beautiful display of how he and Ramblers played the game in those last minutes.
