Nice !! Well, someone explain to me--Normally in Post season a team especially if it wins gets money--not pays money. Seems as if we are being penalized for playing and winning.
Now then why would we announce that we would travel ?? It now appears that we are being or had been seeded, correct ?/ If so it does appear as if we are now getting some respect--except of course in Chicago and in the Student gathering areas.
GO RAMBLERS !!!
Brot - That's one of the reasons that a lot of the "major" programs refuse to play in the CBI or the CIT. They're not willing to cough up the money unless they are promised to play against teams that would draw crowds large enough in order to cover the cost of the game. I think some programs with larger fan bases could definitely make a profit hosting CBI games, but most of those programs see the CBI as more of a nuisance than an opportunity. In all honesty, this is probably one of the weakest CBI brackets that I recall in the last few years. Nonetheless, it's still an opportunity for our team to continue developing and gaining some valuable post-season experience.
I'm glad the administration stepped up and offered to host the game. If UCSB had beaten ORU, we would be playing at UCSB.
