If we win the whole thing, it'll be worth it.

I know it's looking ahead, but I would love to have a series against Colorado for the Championship. They're missing their leading scorer, but they are still a top conference team.

I don't know that there's enough money and will to sustain two competing tournaments outside the NCAA/NIT. If the CBI and CIT were smart, they'd merge. Maybe one tournament with two sides of a 24 or 32-team bracket? The CIT is having problems because the old "definition" of mid-major conferences has changed, and the CBI needs buy-in from "big" conference schools. There isn't a single A-10, Big 10, Big 12 or Big East school in the CBI, and the CIT excludes C-USA, A-10, and Mountain West schools.

The Mountain West got Wyoming, Boise State, and San Diego State in the NCAA, and Colorado State in the NIT this year. Wyoming has been in the CBI the past three years, and Fresno State reached the CBI finals last year (UNLV and Boise State would have qualified, but opted out). Memphis (now in the American, left out of the NIT with a 87 RPI) would have qualified, but the CBI is a long way down from being in the NCAA title game a few years ago and an NCAA at large last year.

Minnesota, Seton Hall, UMass, St. Bonaventure, Western Kentucky, UNLV, Utah State, Oregon State, South Carolina and others passed on what could have been a very good CBI field.

Assuming we beat Oral Roberts at home and make it to the Final 4, as I understand the format the 4 remaining teams will be reseeded. I'm assuming it will be the 1 and 4 seeds paired off in one game, and 2-3 in the other.

If the reseedings are correlated with RPIs, then it is quite possible we would face Colorado in the finals if both teams advance.

I Agree. Colorado is the obvious No. 1, and looking at the teams remaining, if we were to advance, we would definitely be a 2 or 3.

I was looking at Oral Roberts Schedule...

Nov. 26 - UW-Milwaukee -- They beat the panthers by 3: 69-66
Dec. 7 - Missouri State -- They beat them by 19: 80-61
Dec. 22 - Missouri State -- Our Valley Friends rallied back and beat them 52-45
Dec. 30 - Detroit -- Titans lost to them in overtime; 77-73.

These guys are insane though! They have had 15 games where they've scored over 70+ points, including a 102 point performance against Omaha (who scored 86 points). Other than their loss to Oklahoma State where they only put up 42 points, Oral Roberts just piles in points every game. It should be an exciting game to watch, for sure.

I'm just hoping we can keep up with them.

Maybe our defense will choke them ! Good defensive teams generally win out. Must guard the three of course. Good D could frustrate them. We know pretty well that they will ignore the thirty second clock. I like our chances
