Its not a saturday game but I think I will still make it up to Chicago for the LU WSU game. Have some friends up that way and maybe we can find someplace to have a beer. Chicago does have alcohol sales right? Should be a good balmy time to be up there. I really do like skyline you have on the ramblermania.net.

You can get a beer at the Joe while enjoying the game. Additionally, for pre-game, you could visit the spot formerly known as Hamilton's (currently known as 63). I can't say I have been but I will be trying it out in the near future.

All the regulars make an appearance at Bruno's which is conveniently located across Sheridan Road from Loyola.

Hope to see you up there!

63, Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm hope you're right about the students new found support for LU sports. I hope that continues and grows for the basketball season. A quality start in conference play sure would help that! I was curious if anyone knows if anything has changed/improved for this upcoming season when it comes to promoting and marketing basketball games to the students??? Or if the they are just attempting the old adage of, "Build it (MVC) and they will come!"

Typically, the MVC plays Wednesday/Saturday. They tweaked it a few years ago to add some Tuesday and Sunday games to get more TV time.

And SIU beat us on a BS goaltending call that even the other two officials were visibly unhappy with. The ref that called it got suspended from MVC games for a bit and didn't work Arch Madness. We were also still down two, if not three, starters. But we still went to the Final Four so it's all good.

I do agree that your best chances for road wins are Drake and SIU. ISU has a lot of question marks as well and will be pretty young and nobody is sure what exactly to expect of Evansville. They have a couple of pretty talented players but we'll see what they do post Colt Ryan.
