Down by 10, outscored 27-11 in the second half. We're going to lose this one, folks.

Just when we started to win over the other MVC folks, we do something like this to blow it.

I was hoping that this year would be different but it seems like typical Loyola.

Go has it correctly folks--respect inside the MVC--It looks as if the 5th place projection is optimistic. We are in deep trouble, sad to sy.

I, for one figured we would win this tourney--But to lose to Toledo and now Ashville--cripes !! We are NOT ready for prime time--by that I mean Creighton or ND.
I really hate to say this, but maybe Porter does not do well in coaching BIGS !!

Kirby a DNP per ESPN stats for second game in a row
Is he injured or in Porter's doghouse...or just not ready?

This is why losing Christian Thomas was so important. We didn't have any players in double figures. The team let the long run of turnovers and missed shots get into their heads, and the drought fed on itself. The turnovers were obscene.

UNCA played exactly like I thought they would (see preview), but they wanted it a lot more than we did. They just played three games in three days, and they wanted to win more than we did-- terrible to say. You could say the same thing about the Toledo game. It's as though we didn't think it was possible to lose, no matter how little effort we put in.

I'll have to factor this laziness and lack of effort into future previews. It's obvious right now we're going to get smoked in the next two games, which will give us a four game losing streak we won't have a chance to shake until Mid-December.

Double checking the feed on the live stats page he played a quick 66 seconds around the 13:00 mark in the first. That is slightly odd since he never saw the floor again. He looked fine in the San Diego game. Not sure if PM is trying out different combos with bigs or what.

Seemed like UNCA's defense picked up in the second half which did not help our effort at all. Hopefully this is just fatigue catching up with them if we can consider that a factor of a loss.

Kirby, Adgei and Cal Kennedy each played one minute. Rajala had four.

We really, really, really need more offensive production out of Donte Ingram's spot-- especially if Doyle is only going to take six shots from the field in 35 minutes.

So disappointing. This team needs to turn it around real quick or else they will be in deep trouble.

What happens in Alaska, stays in Alaska. Chances are, this year was going to be NCAA, or third tier tournament. Neither our name or our schedule was getting us into the NIT as it stands. And nothing this weekend changed that, so just forget and move on.
