Guess what !! There was a decent sized article in today's Trib about our game . Wonderful !! OOOOPS , I forgot--It really was about Notre Dame. I know all the reasons why blah blah blah !!!!--Here are two reasons why not--

--We are located in Chicago---Notre Dame IS NOT
--WE have won a National Championship--albeit many many years ago---ND has NOT.

Let us get SOMEONE to work better or if at all with the MEDIA !!

We got smacked yesterday--We are NOT as good as they are but so what, publicity -wise

Now then, I have had it--I, being the Ohioan that I now am truly hope the BUCKEYES clobber them in the Football bowl game coming up--say 45-14 or so !!!

There is a lot more interest in Chicago in ND than Loyola. I wish we had more media attention as well but an article on the ACC team of ND generates more interest than mid major Loyola.

HI 95 !! Its rebuttal time !!

Both the Plain Dealer and the Beacon Journal write constantly about the Buckeyes--no question--BUT you know what ? One can ALSO read almost each day about Cle ST Hoops, Zips and Kent St Hoops and Football Each and every day. The only difference between Cle and Chgo is that we here do NOT have a Hockey team and we only have but ONE BB team. That's it ! We even have two race tracks with pari-mutuals. And BTW the Beacon is now full of stories about the Zips soccer team which is nationally ranked as usual.

I grant you--We need wins and more of them--but that only makes the media's job easier. Sorry we need publicity--and the lack of it sucks--if I can be crude.

PM's job is made even more difficult with the lack of PUB. It is getting so bad that one of the papers did not even know that there are FOUR Loyolas . The idiot plastered our logo all over a story about LOYOLA BALTIMORE !!

Website lists 5 people assigned to publicity led by Leo Krause... The department is called Athletic Communications/Media Services. I know begging to get publicity from the Trib( which has turned in to a crap sports page) has to be difficult. It us up to us to buy it...I would loved to have seen a full page for our Academic success, our CBI win, and our track All-Americans. But this all costs money. Getting our games on a radio station costs money......

Anyway I do not see anyone listed as Sports Information Director so I am assuming the man in charge is Leo Krausse Assistant Director of Athletics, Athletic Communications
