After the first half, I'm very happy with the way James is playing. Hopefully he can keep it up in the second half. he is obviously leading us now with his inside presence and aggressiveness. It does not look like we have everything figured out yet, but at least we aren't getting blown out... Really hoping we see them play a complete second half.

Fortunately we are ahead on the Road !! We so far are the better team--now if Devon and Milt get going , we have a win. James IS carrying the load--If Milt and Turk heat up we win this game.

I am not sure how we are winning with Doyle and Turk being non-factors in the first half. It sucks that they are not playing well, but i guess the bright side is, even with them not playing well we are still winning. This will not work out for us the rest of the season though.

Indiana State plays really solid defense. They came into the game holding opponents to 41.3% shooting from the field, which is best in the MVC. They're not quite as dominant defensively on threes, but you have to make sure you've got a good shot. One of the places where we need to take advantage is at the free throw line (see preview, near the end). If we use their defensive energy and intensity to get into the bonus early in the second half, that will help.

I'm not surprised that with their defense it's a matter of "the other guys" doing the scoring. James is the only frontcourt player, so he's got to score. Maybe we need to set up some screens for Turk, a la Evansville's screens for Balentine. It seemed to work OK for UE in their game against ISU on Wednesday... Balentine had 22.

These announcers are brutal. It's like listening to High School radio

It is painful to watch Doyle missing these shots in the second half. I guess they just must be playing great defense... Someone's got to get going on offense quick.

It really is tough to listen to.
