I don't know where the wins are going to come from. We've lost to the preseason 9th pick (at home by 10 points) and 6th pick (on the road by 15). Maybe we can get a sweep of Bradley and beat Missouri State and Drake at home for a 4-14 conference finish in 9th place.

Well, I shall attempt to re-post thoughts that did not make it onto the Board earlier--Re-posting with amendments .

We were the better team until the 14-0 run. Turk and Doyle FAILED. Sorry gang, but you guys do NOT deserve this. Sad to say the following
Milt must now sit--Not even playing like the ninth man--The rest except for James are tanking badly. No one except James are performing well. I cannot figure out why except for that deadly word --Dissention !! I can think of nothing else--We cannot play this badly as opposed to how we played last year without that ugly word.
Reminds me vaguely of the frozen foot bunch.

Brot, I'll add Jeff White to the positive list only because he's playing to his ability which has been non-existent except for Montel. Keke is not a great player, but at least he's giving us some leadership, ball handling and energy.

This season is shaping up to be as disappointing as Blake Shilbs senior year. We were picked to win the league and we thought we had all the pieces to compete. Somehow the chemistry just never came together.

I can't figure out which feels worse -- knowing we don't have the talent to compete and having to watch us get killed game in and game out OR having the talent and just not playing up to it game in and game out.

This is worse.

hard to swallow...........but living on your laurels of the previous season doesn't get it done. You have over-estimated your talent. You are not the better team!

Hey remember when we lost to Indiana State in the regular season but then pummeled them so bad at arch madness that we had to let off the gas and it was still the largest margin of victory in the tournament? It almost looked like we were playing a high school team that day. At least we didn't lose to them today as bad as they lost to us. That would have been REALLY embarrassing!

I think it is at least safe to say that after this past month and a half, Steve Watson definitely should not feel like he's still in the honeymoon phase of the job...

May very well be true we over-estimated. Maybe we'll get a re-assessment with the game in Chicago.

KInd of depends. What do you think is instructions were? Do you think they told him to increase attendance or else? IT certainly would seem that alums are not putting pressure on....Is this the same old make sure you have a team and that they dont get in trouble? or do you think he was really given goals to achieve that would make him feel nervous about our performance? Cuz if he looks at the crowd he certainly can feel as comfortable as Loyal Park and come in and comfortably drink his coffee because no one is watching
