Remember Marlin Jones? If the stories are correct admissions and academic support etc have cost us two players. both big men. The Australian reported to be going to LU who ended up at Bradley and Marlin Jones who somehow had his summer school screwed up and did not end up eligible. Those are two big men who probably could have helped. Anyway Marlin is in his 2nd year at SOuth Plains JC.averaging 9 point in 7 minutes of play. He has started 5 games and played in all 12. Interestingly Verbal Commits lists him as having a Depaul offer as well as LSU and NO interest in Loyola......Wish I knew the real story on both of these players. IF they were both guys we were counting on and lost very late it would explain the situation we now have without any depth at the post,

Admissions had nothing to do with Callum Barker not coming to Loyola. You should stop spreading that rumor.

Also, fyi the juco stats site does not compute averages correctly. Do you really think Jones is averaging 9 points in 7 minutes? That makes no sense. Eg. On November 28 it says he scored 23 points in 1 minute. That's 920 points per 40 minutes!

Seriously though, 9 ppg looks about right. Supposedly DePaul is on him now.

Like I said on the other thread about him, PM opted to go for an eligible guard after he signed Custer who has to sit out this year. Of course, this was also before the Knuth injury.
