I think it was an officials time out to review whether LU or Drake knocked it out of bounds.
ALso Baby Steps...we have won 2 out of 3 (how is that for half full). We actually did some things differently on offense getting some 3s from our 4 and 5 ....which may eventually open up some driving lanes . There is nothing we can do about the height differential but work around it. It would also be nice if Richardson broke out of his slump.

It is truly odd that this season we cannot get ALL our guys ALL playing well at once, as we did last season. First it was Milt playing poorly, then James then Ben and now TURK--I frankly think he became ill today . That was why PM pulled him--at least in my mind. Why ?? It is NOT in PM's scheme of things for him to punish a player (top six anyway) by sitting him all game.
If for once all our guys come through at once, we can still be a force as we were last year.
---Our Bigs are truly playing better as a group--PM must play them more--Goes against his grain, BUT it will be a different look for our opponents to figure out.
---We must shoot quicker and get the boards better. Today we shot 49 % ( that is enough to usually win.
---Milt maybe keeps the ball too long--turnovers then came.

---Milt's defense was as good as I have seen him play for a long while--He made great plays over and over.

Maybe just maybe it is coming together.

About Turk--what do you guys think--sick or----???

Brot, noticed Turk sitting on the floor at the end of a bench in the first half. Thought I saw his leg wrapped up, but I'm not sure. He didn't participate in warmups at halftime.

I still think this team has time to gel before arch madness. We saw them figure out how to best northern Iowa. We are not consistent this year, but I still think we are capable of getting hot and pulling some upsets. Since we've been in the valley I've been underwhelmed by our season conference play and pleasantly surprised by our conference tournament play. Let's just hope that continues and we get things together for that by that most important week in Saint Louis. That's all we can hope for now. Whether we start on Thursday or friday... I just want to see us put it together and play together.
