It's not over yet, but what you've seen so far in this game is how we win. This is how we beat Northern Iowa at their place-- one of the toughest places to play in the league. We played like this (except without Turk healthy) when we played at ISU and lost by two points. We played like this against Creighton. We're rebounding well, we're working for shots, we're spreading the floor, we're making them work HARD for every point.

When we DON'T play like this, we lose.

Agreed. I think Hinson has done a great job getting his team to over-perform, while we have been significantly underperforming this season.

Refs have been inconsistent this game. Let them play through a lot of contact in the 1st half and early 2nd half. But now they're calling a tight game.

We are beginning to play better and we are getting closer to the potential we thought we all had coming into the season. Improvement every game is all we can hope for. I'm proud of our guys for getting to the line and making the most of it. I still think it's WSU and then everyone else. I feel like when we are on our game we can beat every team but the shockers.

Didn't see that one coming. I had no THOUGHT of winning at SIU, especially so easily, after they beat us so bad in Chicago.

But can you imagine if we played with this energy and desire in every game this year? If we trotted out this effort every game we were healthy, we'd be 14-9 or better, and probably at least 6-6 in conferenc

That's how you turn a program around, in my opinion. You make sure you put the maximum effort out there every game, with no letdown, as a point of personal, institutional, civic, and any other kind of pride you can describe. We did that all last year, with the exception of one or two games (Tulane was one I remember), and we won 24 games and were still playing in April. We didn't apply the same resolve and work ethic in every game this year, and we ended up LOSING to Bradley and BEATING Creighton and UNI.

If everyone worked as hard on their game as I think James did in the offseason, we would have been a top 3 team. It used to be Doyle that was the X factor that lead to a lot of our wins - but James has been the guy this season.

I must admit , in the last four games Porter apparently has changed up !! He is NOW running, shooting and then defending--NOT the other way around. Full marks for him ! Keep it up. It is obvious that the team Loves it !! James is playing his silly head off. Since when does a Center slash to the hoop ?? Love it.
