Free throws are killing us

Flagrant foul results in two missed freebies and a turnover. Come on now.

The flagrant was called against Grady, two missed freebies, and then they tightened up scrutiny on some of the things Marshall complains about. The screen wasn't perfect-- called on Kirby. Very slight foot drag on a spin move-- travel. Now another by Montel.

Guys, you gotta dribble when you move. Or else they will call traveling. Seems we've forgotten.

Meanwhile Baker took about 4 steps ...no call

Our guys have got to be just exhausted. Get a stop and some points out of this TO, and we can rest for 15 minutes.

This could be so, so, so, so, so, so much worse.

How bad did we need those free throws-- Montel missed two, Rajala missed the front of a one and one, Kirby missed two, ouch. Oh for FIVE... And those were HARD-won freebies.

Love the effort. Rest those legs for 10 minutes-- they've got to be stinging.

We are showing a ton of effort out there. If not for the missed freebies and the numerous travels, we'd be neck and neck.

Baker starting getting hot at the end of the half. That's scary.

I looked up Anton Grady's HL career at Cleveland State, and he never played against Loyola. He was injured his first/sophomore red shirt year before conference play started. In his first game against Loyola in Wichita, two points in eight minutes. Marshall must have made a HL comment, because since then he had 17 points last time, and came out in this game shooting and dishing out sneaky flagrants. He's got five points, five rebounds in six minutes before he was yanked for the flagrant.
