Yes, I watched the last 5-6 minutes of the game and saw it live as it happened. Most amazing finish I have ever seen, at any level. The ball left his hand from 2/3 court at .1 on the clock. Crazy. Felt horrible for the Hales kids.

Impressive defense, passing, and basketball IQ. Commentators said he has a 4.0 GPA as well...

Watched championship 1A game, and liked what I saw. Chastain demonstrated ball handling skills, shooting skills, assists, nice footwork. Brings ball up the floor on offense, and can play the big guy in a zone defense. They suggested he is a good student too.
That said, I will watch to see how this plays out going forward. It is my first focus on possible recruits out of HS and will be a good study in what the Ramblers face in recruiting wars.... I think he'd be great at Loyola, certainly someone to build around over four years. Keep the L on the uniform and be great to watch play over the coming years. Congratulations Matt on the championship today.

USA Today has just named him national high school athlete of the week for his performance at the state tournament.

Looks like the offers have slowed a bit. Though he did pick up an offer from Evansville in the past few days. He is up to a 3 Star rating by Rivals. Also noted that Lorenzo Edwards - another early target of ours - has picked up some nice offers recently. George Mason, St Joes, Evansvile. Very tough competition for both these guys.
