As I wrote in another thread--Our schedule is as good as any and better than most !! Now, let us win a few of these biggies !!

As regards piecemeal schedule releasing--Old habits die hard--Watson based on latest stuff, will change this. It appears we now have a real AD. I say this despite how kind Mrs C was to me--I shall NEVER forget this--25 did his thing !!

Well, in terms of what I've experienced in running the Sycamore boards, a lot of people like to talk shop year round, especially if they just follow a particular program. Right now it is recruiting season and many folks don't like getting involved in that.

I agree. When it comes to hoops, in August there's not much to talk about except who we might play and how badly we're going to beat them

I much prefer to talk recruiting, but that's just me.

The old YUKU Ramblermania board, which was a Wild West anything goes place where basketball often took a backseat to politics and personalities (especially offseason) was, with all its faults, more stimulating than discussions about whether we play Alcorn State on November 12 or November 14.

brot, you may have gotten a basketball, but I heard Calhoun billed the Athletic Department for a Lexus in your name.

It's done to a slightly lesser extent my many other boards.

Loyola has no beat writer, which is rare in college basketball, even well into the internet age. The schedule is almost never put out until it is put out in its entirety, and we have often been the last team in the Horizon or MVC to release our schedules-- sometimes the absolute last by a matter of MONTHS (one time we released it in early October, I think).

I heard Alcorn State was the 13th.

I'm big into recruiting as well and can't get many folks to follow it. IMO that is one of the big things that differentiates the Valley from P5 conferences. I routinely go to AAU tournaments and will be one of the few "mid major" supports in the place.

Alcon State game is at home on Fri. Nov. 11th.

Although Alcorn lists the game in Evanston!

Does this complete our schedule? I don't think we return the WIU game.
