Depaul beat Drake by 2

And, to be fair, while tonight was a bad loss for UNI, they have wins over Oklahoma and Arizona State, and two of their three losses are to Xavier...who's a top 10 team.

Of course DePaul won. They're one of only two Chicago programs.

(No, I'm not bitter...)

The only "good" win out of that is OU ... maybe. That's really TBD at this point. ASU is not a good win at all. ASU lost 115-69 to UK this week ....

UNI is hard to figure at this point. I think they are good, and they'll certainly be out for blood when they play us this year.

DePaul would almost certainly be a Thursday team if they played in the MVC.

Uni is very easy to figure out. They are a 1 dimensional team that relies on 3 point shooting. They also don't rebound on offense at all. Only 38 offensive rebounds all year (6 per game). When they are shooting well, they can beat anyone. When they aren't .. they lose to George Mason. When they are missing, no one rebounds, so they have to hope that initial shot goes in

Here are the stats for their D1 games so far.

Opponent - % of FGA that were 3PA - 3P% - OReb - Result

ASU - 53% - 43% - 7 - 20 point win
OU - 52% - 39% - 5 - 6 point win
Xavier - 50% - 42% - 7 - 8 point loss
Xavier - 42% - 33% (32% overall) - 5 - 22 Point loss
GMU - 55% - 25% - 6 - 4 point loss

Every Game except 1 so far they have shot over 50% of their shots from 3 and only 5-7 O rebounds per game.

Good stats. I guess I meant hard to figure where they'll finish in the MVC. Why can't they play inside more?

I didn't realize the rebounding numbers are so bad. Kenpom has them 349th in offensive rebounding and 272nd in defensive rebounding. (Loyola is 340th for offensive, but 9th for defensive.)

While they have a bunch of big men, it doesn't seem like many of them are very skilled. Koch can be good, but also tries to force way too much and if he gets doubled he turns it over a lot (2.8 TO per game)
