Agree. Bruno very impressive tonight. Showing very good instincts and a surprisingly quick first step.

Just saying!

Now would be a good time to place a futures wager on Bruno to make the all Freshman team. Just saying.

As for the game...

THE GOOD:
Got the win despite not playing our best game by any means
Custer and Jackson continue playing well
Richardson shot it well (three 3s)
Cam with two steals
BRUNO!!!
Donte perhaps back before the 4-6 week initial timeframe

THE BAD:
Turnovers crept back in especially the first half. I'd gotten used to single digit turnover games :)
Defense vs the motion offense struggled at times. They ran a lot of cuts and got open shots.

THE UGLY:
Rebounding - we got killed on the glass. Wright St had 17 (!!) offensive rebounds to our 4. We only got 58% of rebound chances on defense. That knocked us out of the top-100 defenses on Kenpom
Officials were brutal. Possibly a reason for the turnover and rebounding issues above as well.

THE ???:
No Kirby at all? Granic seemed to take his minutes last night. Perhaps reflecting practices this week?

EDIT: Forgot to mention free throw shooting. We stink at it. 70% last night was one of our better efforts on the year. Coming in we were around 300th in D1 at about 62%.

I think somebody else mentioned it but I am guessing the lineup and style of play used by the Righties was not conductive to Mr. Kirbys syle of defensive play. Did want to take the opportunity to say congrats to the Mr.Kirby . I think he has improved a lot since last year....must have taken some hard work.

The rebounding was rough; refs definitely did factor into a few of them though. I thought it got a little out of control both ways at times; the amount of times one of our teams drove an opponent into the ground with no whistle was disconcerting... you'd think it'd have to be a foul one SOMEONE.

Some nice articles by our friend Jesse; love hearing Clayton talk about Bruno:
