Only seven games left and we are floating on top of the muddled middle right now. How does it all work out?

I figure if we put the pedal to the metal and don't fiddle, diddle or settle for the middle of the muddled middle, we will see a three seed indeed.

If we win the games we should win the rest of the way I think we will get the 3 seed. Really depends on how our RPI ends up.

After the Missouri State loss, TeamRankings.com's prediction for a 3 seed dropped from 65% to 49%.

I think you can count on Missouri ST losing more games than we do.. Face it, we should have won that game, in fact it wasn't easy to lose it, we had to try really hard.
So lets just take care of business one game at a time starting on Saturday and who cares what the percentages suggest.
Third place is still ours for the taking. We play SIU twice, and we are done w/UNI. BUT we gotta win a road game or two, so lets do it!

3 seed looks to be the most likely right now. Just get wins and hope for the best I suppose.

I like to analyze the probabilities of wins based on groupings:

High chance of a W:
Home vs Drake
Home vs Indiana St

High chance of a L:
@ ISU
home v.s. WSU

Will Probably lose 1:
@ SIU
Home v.s. SIU
@ Evansville

4-3 is what Loyola will likely do to close out the regular season.

10-8 final record

Completely agree. I have the loss being at SIU. In my predictions for the rest of the season, I have us tying for 3rd with Missouri St, but having the higher RPI. I think it'll be hard to be in a Thursday game since we currently have the best RPI besides ISUr and WSU.

That game at SIU is going to be their Senior Day, so probably a loud crowd and a lot of emotional players, coaches, and fans.

That's why Saturday is crucial. So at worst it's a tiebreaker if we lose in Carbondale. That's if we are still close to them in the standings by then. Hopefully our RPI will be better than theirs.
