Sometimes, you have to make your own luck.

It's a funny thing about size. Generally, it's great to have it. But if you can make up for it in other ways, you can get away with not having it. Thinking back to my childhood, I remember most of the 89 Illini team being between 6'3-6'6, maybe one main contributor of 6'8. That's an extreme example, obviously, but we're good enough to beat many of the teams we've lost to this year. Including, and especially tonight. We've just either dug ourselves too big a hole at the start of games, or shot ourselves in the foot at the wrong time. Or both.

There is a non-negligible chance that we drop to Thursday....

We play down to the opposition again, instead of running our own game.
Evansville gave us every opportunity to win this game.
We are stuck in the middle of the pack, maybe lower because we do not play the full
forty minutes and do not make the key plays over and over....

Drake is a game behind and has probably the easiest schedule remaining in the valley, although three are road games:
@ ISU Blue, @Evansville, Mo State, @LUC, Bradley. If the tie breaker is RPI, we may have that even if they beat us.

Last minute of game argument...

Foul or play it out. With a 10ish second difference between game clock and shot clock with 40 seconds left they played straight up. In two point game don't you extend the game? I thought Porter always says he wants his guys to play a full 40 minutes. Yeah they may have been gassed a little but still opens up other options with the possibility of them missing a free throw.

I don't know seemed like the better route their was to foul especially with our slow defense the last 5 minutes of the second half.
