I'm just going to make one comment, then I'm going to excuse myself from this board. We have a list of people in this thread commenting on something that they only know one side of. It doesn't appear anyone on here except Sub actually watched the full game and only watched the media coverage of 2 minutes of the 2 hours worth of gameplay that night.

You talk about someone going ape .. yet have a poster on here that is displaying an equally bad temper tantrum. Marshall messed up, he apologized for how far he went, but he did not apologize for standing up for his players.

Brot - Whether you like it or not, The MVC is where it is at post-Creighton because of Marshall. Without Marshall and WSU, the MVC would have zero respectability. You also need to realize that he made a mistake with the best intentions. If you are saying that you wouldn't want your sons to play for him .. you miss the facts that he has a 100% (last i knew) graduation rate, his players all volunteer in the community, his players don't get in trouble off the court etc. If you don't want your sons to have that .. that's you choice. I respectfully disagree.

To the people saying he should have just pulled his players. Sure, he could do that. What does that tell the players? If its not going your way, just quit? Or stand up for what is right? As I said, he went too far, accepted punishment, and apologized.

To the comment about congratulations to the refs. No, you don't congratulate someone that didn't do their job. They failed at the primary purpose of a ref which is to call a SAFE and fair game. Bad calls are one thing, dangerous calls are another. If you are rewarding players who are making dangerous plays, you are not calling a safe game. They should also have been suspended.

Stick , Sub et al !! I retract nothing I have written--This guy Marshall has problems, real problems. There are many things he could have and maybe should have done BUT he snapped !! His performance was put on display for all the watchers to see.

But enough of this garbage and that is what we saw and alibis are what is being attempted to be sold by Shocker folks. one of the bottom lines is this--All sane Shocker fans and the school MUST realize is that man has problems BIG ones !!

I realize that I have been overly critical of Gregg Marshall. In all fairness, he has his good points, just like all humans do, so I thought I'd list a few of them here in the interest of comity and good sportsmanship for all our Shocker friends.

1.He did NOT found ISIS. (Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton did.)

2. He took some of Koch's money that could have been spent in worse ways.

3.He lives in Wichita so we don't have to.

4. He was funny in 3rd Rock From The Sun.

5. His hair gel is made from recycled motor oil.

6. When he goes out to a bar with Chris Jans and Conner Frankamp, he always makes sure to have plenty of bail money on him.

7. He only uses black hair dye that hasn't been tested on animals.

8. It never even occurred to him to use the threat of leaving for other coaching jobs to extort millions from WSU.

9. He is taking steps to address his anger management issues. Just yesterday when the waiter brought him Canadian bacon by mistake, 3G responded measuredly by choosing to throw cold orange juice rather than hot coffee on the miscreant.

10. His cold cold heart mitigates global warming.
